Last updated: .
1. Controller
L2ET Research, Schwyz, Switzerland, is responsible for personal data processed through this website. Data-protection inquiries may be submitted via the contact form.
2. Applicable framework
L2ET Research aims to handle personal data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where EU data protection law applies, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may also be relevant.
3. Data you provide
- Identification and professional context: name, role or title, organization, country, and any company website you provide.
- Contact information: work email address.
- Inquiry information: selected inquiry type, area of interest, message text, and any information you choose to include.
4. Technical data
The website and its providers may process technical metadata needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site. This may include user-agent information, timestamps, anti-abuse signals, infrastructure logs, form-delivery metadata, and country-level language-routing data. The site does not request browser GPS/geolocation permission.
5. Purposes
- Responding to inquiries and managing follow-up conversations.
- Assessing whether an inquiry relates to research, collaboration, information, or an early-stage organizational discussion.
- Protecting the website, contact channel, email delivery, and related infrastructure from abuse.
- Maintaining a limited record of relevant correspondence.
6. Legal basis
Processing is based on the need to respond to your request, legitimate interests in operating and securing the website and contact channel, and, where applicable, consent or a future contractual basis. Under GDPR terminology, this may include pre-contractual steps, legitimate interests, consent, or contractual necessity, depending on the context.
7. Providers and recipients
The L2ET Research website uses self-hosted front-end assets where practical. Hosting, security, delivery, contact form handling, and operational telemetry may involve selected service providers, including hosting, CDN/security, and form-processing providers. These providers are used to operate the website, protect availability, receive enquiries, and improve technical performance.
Contact-form submissions are transmitted through the configured form provider and routed to L2ET Research. Domain email is handled through Proton Mail. Hosting, CDN/edge security, language-routing, form-delivery, email, and security providers may process technical data where needed to operate and protect the service. L2ET Research does not sell inquiry data and does not share it for third-party marketing.
8. International transfers
L2ET Research selects hosting and server arrangements with DACH-region residency and operational alignment in mind where applicable. Some providers involved in CDN/edge protection, form delivery, language routing, email delivery, or security operations may process data outside Switzerland or the EEA. Where required, transfers should rely on adequacy decisions or appropriate contractual safeguards.
9. Retention
Inquiry data is retained for the duration of the conversation and normally for up to 12 months afterwards for legitimate follow-up and continuity, unless a longer period is required by law or a separate relationship is established. Technical logs and provider-side records may follow the relevant provider retention settings.
10. Cookies, language routing, and local storage
The site does not deploy advertising cookies or analytics cookies. For initial language routing, the homepage may use a Cloudflare country signal where configured. If the country does not map to an available language, English remains the default. Manual language selection is stored locally in the browser so navigation can preserve the selected language.
11. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights of access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability. You may also have the right to complain to a competent supervisory authority. Requests can be sent via the contact form.
12. Security
The website is designed as a static public surface with encrypted transport, security headers, no public account system, no database-backed visitor area, and no publication of direct email addresses in the source code. Further operational details are available in the Security & data handling note.
13. Updates
This notice may be updated as L2ET Research develops or as the website architecture changes. Material changes will be reflected in the date above.
